foster (like it matters), lamont, glendale, and best of all oneida are all ice free.... the road to onedia was ion decent shape save a few spots that dont get alot of sun and the parking area next to the ramp was plowed and cleared.

Did you fish oneida? What did the water look like. Last year I tried to fish it this early but the water was really stained and I didn't do any good. Just wondering, thanks
What was the water level at Glendale ?

Did you get a look at twin ?

Hmm, sounds like I may have to have a look up that way later this week when all this snow nonsense is over with. Did you see Treasureton by any chance? I'm itching to break out the chironomids I've been tying and finally give that whole thing a try.

i went for a ride today. foster was clear but glendale is still capped. there is a small open area west of the boat ramp were the fresh water pours in but thats the only are i could see that seemed fishable.

Glendale looked froze to me and the road up the narrows was not in great shape Sat afternoon. More snow on the way- there was 18" of fresh powder up near the summit of Imigration - but the CCing was excellent- dog pointed 5 ruffies .

hmmm is it possible i have glendale Confused with some where else? i know foster cause its right next to the road, so full of water the lake is technically on both sides of the road, lamont, because its right by the house where Napoleane Dynamite was filmed... did i confuse glendale for something else? im not as familiar with this area as my brother is sionce i just finally made it back to the states from overseas.

anywho, onedia, the water had a little stain on it, but by stain it was more of a glacial blue than the deep mucky green it usually is. the river below the res is stained and high, and as usual full of grass.

Glendale is 3 or 4 miles down the road if you turn towards Fosters.

If you turn on to the dirt road right before Foster it will take you back to Glendale. I appreciate your taking the time to report on the ice and conditions. Thanks.

Any reports from this area? I am itching to get into some warm water fish. Things should be picking up around this area.

I wouldn't itch too hard. I have consitently gone down to Preston too early in the past. I would wait until it is consitently 75 degrees(air temp) for about four days in a row without a cold front etc...

I usually count on two weeks before memorial day or so. It really usually picks up around memorial day depending on the year.
