Went to Salmon 04/03/10 me and 2 more it waz good we got 8 one waz 29in thinkin about going to challis anyone been like to know how itz going

I'm headin' up to Salmon tomorrow. Maybe head up river to Challis, not sure quite yet. Went to Sportsman's and stocked up....so my better half is mad at me. Good thing I'm gonna be gone all day tomorrow.

Is anyone else heading up there tomorrow? Pete

That's funny the report says fish every 2 hours in that area around challis. I fished it the last weekend in march and did pretty well.

Lookin at the counts and the other posts the fishing should be better above salmon ellis to stanley has been doing good nopthing has been said lately about the shoupe area.

challis is a good bet for fish right now. we were there weekend before last and did really well the fish are there you just have to put in your work for them.

I ran up to Salmon on Monday to buy a truck. Took the poles for fun and though I may stay the night in Stanley if the fishing was any good up that way. I only saw a few fish up that far and I forgot my waders so I didn't go after them. I should have stayed in Challis if I really wanted to fish. I think that will put you in a good central area. I stopped at Ellis for a few minutes and watched probably 15 fish get landed or being fought. It was going off but to many people for me. Sunbeam also had an overflow of people but didn't see any hookups. What impressed me was all the fly guys catching fish in the skinny water.
