Puddle and me went on a little catfish excursion today and the cat bite was very slow BUT I did manage three. The first one was a 6 pounder. Not much fight to him as he was wrapped up in my line, hooked in the mouth and wrapped up in Puddle's line and hooked in the tail. Then the BIG bite happened. Of course it would come on the smallest rod we were fishing with. For 30 minutes we followed her wherever she wanted to go and finally she slowly came up, then she went down, then she came up, then she went down...finally PJ got his grippers on her and in the boat she came...all 75 lbs of her. My personal best catfish!!! A little while later my little rod goes down again and this one was a small 47 lber...lol. That was all we caught today. We did miss a few and I had another snap my line...bad spot in the line maybe? I did not check it after the long fight and the 47 lb fight...my fault. The pic came off my cell phone as my camera batteries were dead. PJ has a camera full of pics on his but he won't be home until late Wed. night.
