Got up to a bright sunny morning so I hooked up my boat and headed for Jordanelle...
I left the house at 8:20 and the air temp was a nice 38 with no wind, got up to Park city and it was 24 Kimball junction and 12 was looking cold...
Got to the lake to a better 18 at 9:15 and glass like water no snow on the roads or ramp (PWC) and in hopes the day will warm some...
I started away from the dock with an eye on my electronics and in 26' an arch showed up right on the bottom, I dropped down and watched the fish make its move...In less then 5 min. I had my first bass at 16" this was going to be a great day...
After grafting all along the area and all the way east around the long point and up the lake to the north to the ice pack and not another blimp on the screen...
Maybe I just got lucky, headed for the rock cliff arm up on plain at full throttle then a quick stop and putting on some more warm clothes then up to rock cliff...Yes the air is very cold at 50...
On my way up I would slow to graft here and their with no luck, found the ice is still reaches across the arm about 2/3 the way up the arm, at the ice flow I made a few cast and picked up one brown about 19" and all hammer handle type...
The breeze or wind came up and it got colder, stopped at a point and got one more bass up but when I tried to swing it in the boat it came off had two other bites but with the breeze and having to get ready to head for Powell tomorrow I headed for home...
Did see two other BFT'ers getting ready to launch back at the ramp...
