I know i'm getting too eager but when do you guys think I can get my boat out on Pelican this year? I caught a nice 6.8lb gal last year, released her and told her meet up with me this spring, after she reaches 8lbs [

] What do you think on the timing, would appreciate any input. Have attached a pic of her in case you run into her before I do this year[

Pelican is ice free when I drove by last week. Winds have been persistent (like always) in the basin. So you can get a boat on. We just need a couple of warm days to bring up the water temp. I might try it this weekend. If I do, I'll let you know.

My first big trip of the year will be out there there the weekend before memorial day, hopefully that's right when those bucketmouths are spawning [

] can't wait!
