Hit Scofield today. Fishing was fast. At times I couldn't keep two poles going. Cut up some chubs and caught more tigers than usual. Pic is a tiger that had really well defined patterns. Not much for thickness, or color, but cool mottling. He's in the slot, so I hope he gets the chance to reach 22 inches.

Very few people fishing. Few groups in the dam arm, but that was all. Ice is still good. Water starting to seep through at the edges, but I didn't have any trouble getting on.

Saw some sage grouse strutting on the way up. Pulled over, watched and listened for a while. I have never seen that before.

Did you get into the chubs again or were you mostly catching trout this go-round?

Whole pile of chubs. Probably 50+.

Nice report. Any idea on when the ice might start to break up? Im anxious to hit up the open water on scofield. Thanks

It's going to be a while. The inlets are just beginning to work their way in. The storms we have been having are keeping the ice covered so it's not deteriorating very fast. Gotta go...headed up again!
