"First Time Caller, Love the Show!"

About a year ago SwedishFish introduced me to the BFT site, And I have been enjoying getting to know everyone and reading everyone's experiences ever since. (don't worry, I haven't impinged on anyone's honey-hole, and I guarantee I haven't impacted anyone's catch rate!).

I would like to thank, and commend, and let everyone on the site know how impressed I am with the comradery, support, and willingness I have seen on this site to help each other enjoy the great sport of fishing. Tubedude, Bassrods, Pezvela, and many others that participate in the site have made fishing more enjoyable for me as I revel in others' successes.

I have to share what tipped me over into going 'public'...

Yesterday, I had to take "Deloris" out to see if she would still float (BTW: Deloris is the name of my boat, not mine. Long story, perhaps I will share sometime).

Ran up to Willard Saturday afternoon to burn the carbon out and flip-a-jig, but didn't really care if I caught anything, just wanted to get out. As I was in the freeway bay area catching branches (none were keepers), a couple of guys came trolling by in a green center console 'jon-boat' (I guess that is how I would describe it). I hollored over how they were doing and what they were using, AND THEY TOLD ME! It was not what I expected. They were very friendly and shared how the fishing was the day before, and what they were currently dragging behind the boat. A few seconds later one guy had a hook-up and hollored over to us for us to watch him land a Walleye. It turned out to be a nice catfish, to which he was genuinely disappointed, and let it go. But I was very impressed by the exchange. I don't know if they visit this site, I hope they do, because I would like to thank them for helping to make a very pleasant afternoon!

BTW, I didn't change what I as a flipping' and never got a bite but on that particular day, I didn't care!

Anyway, sorry for the long post, but just wanted to say thank you!

Thanks for posting and a hardy welcome too.

You would be surprised just how much I, and probably others, learned from your post. Keep them coming.
