I don't know about Nampa or the Payette but you cold hit CJ strike coming or going there by Mtn. Home. I have yet to fish it personally but will be headed there in two weeks if the weather holds. Search the forum and you should find some good info.[pirate]

You also might look in the past posts for Lowell Lake, and there was a pond or small lake in Emmett mentioned awhile back. I can't remember the name, but I think it was in the area of Emmett's little airport. You might be able to look it up too.
edit - I think it is Sawyers Pond -- Catfish and I don't know what else.

The two best places in the nampa area would be Lake Lowell and Wilson ponds. Wilson ponds is located on south powerline road and is a fish and game area. The have multiple ponds with different species of fish. They stock it frequently. Lake Lowell is South of Nampa and is between Nampa and Caldwell. You will find mostly large mouth bass there, but bluegill and crappie are in it too.
Good luck

Theres a bass tourney at lake lowell this just an FYI. We prefished it on opening day for power boats and it sucked. I'd go to wilsons springs as stated in a previous post. Gets stocked with trout once a week plus they have the warm water species ponds behind the trout ponds.

The water temps are still pretty low, though it's supposed to be in the mid to high 70s this weekend. I'd hit Wilson Ponds and fish the back pond. There's four ponds total. The back one has bass, bluegill, and channel cats. It's smaller than Lake Lowell, and will probably warm up quicker.
There's a trophy pond for trout, but I've never fished it. No bait allowed, and catch and release only. The other two have stocked trout, but they're usually small. I've never seen anything bigger than 10" come out of them.

Sawyer Ponds are up by Emmet and they have gills crappie and bass plus catish.

It's called Beach's pond, and the other warm water area is Anderson wetlands. I had no idea they stocked catfish in these ponds, never seen anyone catch one either. These back ponds are the place to go, the trout ponds are going to be PACKED this weekend.

They were stocked in 2008, according to this report:

I can verify there are channel cats in Beach's Pond. I saw a guy catch one about 18" when I was there last time. Lake Lowell is probably a better choice for bigger cats, though.

Wow thank you! They haven't added catfish to their "warm water species" plaques yet, I think I know where I'm going the next warm weekend.
