Went and fished Willard north marina this morning. Nice and calm water with just a little ripple. Tore up the crappie. End up catching around 14 but kept 8 of the bigger ones. Used a white tube jig. Got there about 8:00 and fished till about 11:00 till I got crowded out by a bunch of people. One wanted to fish in my left pocket. Anyway...great day. [Smile]

thats how most people are over at willard one person is catching fish then all or a sudden you have 50 people pushing you out of the way than they start yelling at you for fishing so close to them. Like we always say "if the orientals are leaving might has well leave with them they caught all the fish". pineviewfisher

I love it that you used an architectural scale for reference [Smile] Were those crappie at 1/8" scale or 1/16"? Seriously though, nice catch man!

I wanted to be as close to exact as possible. LOL

Nice catch. Too many people crowding you out is why I prefer fishing on weekdays.[:/]

That's sounds like you should have some mad respect for these guys you're talking about that can catch all the fish. Hell especially Crappie.

Were you right in the Marina or out along the dikes? I need to get up there...

Got a charge out of your editing your original post about the bunch of people who started crowding you, everyone knows who they are and where they come from, ignorant to the laws and no respect for other fisherman as well. I don't think it would be too hard for a fish cop to sit and watch them for awhile and tag a few, I never see it happen though. Great catch on some nice crappie.

I was at willard a few days back fishing from shore and got more crowded out by the people of your skin color (and mine) in boats than by anyone of any color on shore..

Plenty of people of all backgrounds disregard the rules and regs, a lot of immigrants are at least genuinely ignorant to them .

Your right..You did everything but..

I did pop off a bit..But this is the crap you hear alluded to all the time..Take the time to really watch the people around you when you fish..Maybe even talk to them. You'll learn some things..about fishing and people..

Its a fishing forum..report on the fishing. Keep your personal indignation's and stereotypes to yourself.

I spent a year with those people and not under the best of conditions. I have my feelings and opinions and you have yours. We do need to get back to talking fishing/hunting on the site. This Country is in enough trouble allready. Have a nice day.[Smile]

And I spent nearly 3 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Then a year in the hospital in Germany..

I still don't view everyone from the region as "them people"..

Good luck fishin..

Alot of us on here have spent time in Iraq, Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia among other wonderful places. There's no need to play that card in here.
