[shocked] My wife a friend and myself put in for Wasatch ML tags. Looks like we all drew out UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
Figures though. Now that I'm living in Wyo. looks like I'll have to drive back to Utah to shoot some rutting stinking old bull [cool][cool][cool]

Seems like alot of people I know drew tags for that area this year. My oldest son and my buddy who lives in Fruitland drew rifle tags for that area and my brother-in-law Ed's best friend and his wife drew rifle tags there as well. Glad to hear you and Deb have a chance to shoot a big bull here. Good luck to both of you. I know you're hating life over there LOL.[cool]

The DWR increased the tags on the Wasatch this year, so there will be alot of unsuspected draws this year. This is one of the units that is over the age objective, so they will probably give more tags for the next couple of years to come.

I knew they had raised the number of elk tags this year but really didn't pay any attention to which areas as I drew my Elk tag a few years ago so I'm not elligible. I wish everyone the best on their hunts and hope they take nice bulls.

I just called the UTAH DWR office in SLC and asked how many tags were allotted for the LE Elk Wasatch early any weapon sep 18-26 and they told me only 215 were allotted this year... 2009 there was 216 tags and 2008 there was 180 tags... So there are the numbers, only 215 for 2010. I must have been very lucky in the draw for only 5 points and getting this tag.......wooo hoooo
I should have asked about the late hunt also but forgot..

Luck was with you, I drew the Premium tag for that area a few years ago which also included a week in mid Nov. I had 7 points at the time. Have fun on your hunt.

LE muzzle loader tags for the Wasatch in 2009 were: 55 tags. In 2008 only 47 tags. So you got very lucky to draw 3 tags... wow...

Oh boy! You bet and thanks. Last year I took a guy from Minn. to Diamond Fork for his LE archery tag. He stuck a big bull (hit the shoulder blade) and lost him. He never did fill his tag but had lots of opportunities on 300 to 330 class bulls and decided it was a big bull or nothing.
I don't know the Strawberry area very good but have hunted Red Creek quite a bit.
I'll definatlly shoot you a PM and thanks for the offer. I've been waiting a long time for this permit.

I'd help you out but I don't know anything about that area.[

OK Pete I'll bite. Being as you know that unit as good or better than mostI was going to bounce you for some info.
I know the N. Slope like my back yard but have not personally hunted Wasatch since about 2000.
Any info or areas you want to share I'll keep under my hat [sly]
You know it would be appreciated. Thanks buddy.

P.M. me your phone number and we will chat. We will be spending time in the area prior to your hunt so I should be able to give you an update of how the hunt went and the critters we were seeing. I'm sure Crossineyes knows that area pretty good as well. It's a huge area with alot of rugged country. Joe and I were curious who drew the 3rd tag, thought maybe it might be Mike.
