Willard is a mystery to me I don’t know why! I have great success at other ponds but the last 2 years the wipers have laughed there @ss of at me!

Willard is an awsome place. It is not the most consistant place with everything moving around. it takes some getting used to. I just wish they would put shad in more lakes.

What? You elitist fisher-types have no idea![

Literally, I have been skunked at Willard DOZENS of times. Last year I stood in the North Marina for 5 hours with12-15 people lined out on both sides of me catching crappie and I didn't get one bite, while everybody else took home a stringer full. It's stuff like this that gets me so discouraged. I keep thinking there is some hugely obvious thing I am just not doing right.
But, good on ya, Wall.

you need to make sure you put the worm in your mouth first to warm it up and then throw it in the water... that will get them.... don't mind the worm poo, it wont kill ya... try that next time...lol

Willard's hit or miss. Last weekend when every report I heard was of piles of crappie out of the north marina I went out and spent 6 hours there chucking every kind of crappie jig in every kind of manner and ended up having one bite the entire day.

i agree with you, that big bathtub is the most changing fishing hole that i have ever fished, i know guys that have fished it for walleye for 20+ years and still don't have it figured out they just remember the good days and forget the bad ones.
That place is my favorite one day and on others i swear i won't go back again.
