Finally got my credentials today, So the mrs. and me hit the river. We fished the south fork under the overpass on SR20. Got there about 1pm and by 2:30 was sure we were going to get skunked. About that time I got a nice hit.... Hooked in and drug it to shore. It was a beauti of a Cut about 2lbs and apx 17" long. I was almost in tears as I released it as gentle as I could. Partially because these natives are on the decline, but more so cause I couldn't eat the first fish I caught in Idaho[frown]. After that we decided to hit the Rexburg pond. Fishing was great there Small pan sized bows everywhere. We released most of them but had a few swallow the gear so we brought home a dinners worth. Finally, we went back down to the SF I was hoping to see some surface action on the fly rod.... But there wasn't a fish to be found. Oh well drowned a few worms and hit up the BBQ. Sorry I forgot my camera tho. [fishin]

Thanks for the info. I will have to take the kids to the Rexburg pond before it is fished out by the old man brigade.[Wink] There are a group of guys who will fish it daily and they must eat a ton of fish.

I have been fishing the same spots! I fish lorenzo bridge regularly and continue to catch some beautiful browns. I caught a 2.5 lb brown this afternoon under the bridge.

In Rexburg, I know the north pond in rexburg has fish, but what about the bigger south pond? Which pond did you catch your fish in?

I took the kids to the ponds last week and fished the south for about 30 mins with nothing and then moved to the north one and we caught over 50 in a couple of hours.
