PIERRE, SD—Before the ink could dry on South Dakota resident Cory Snyder's state co-record lake trout certificate, a new state record certificate was being written up for him.
On July 1, just 10 days after tying the South Dakota state lake trout record, Snyder raised the bar by landing a new record laker that weighed 22 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 35½ inches. The previous record was 20 pounds, 10 ounces.
Snyder caught the fish on a spoon while fishing the same waters, the Pactola Reservoir near Rapid City.

Maybe Cory should be buying us BFT member some lottery tickets! Catching a record fish and then 10 days later beating that has got to have astronomical odds. Congradulations Cory!!! You PM me and let me know what my ticket numbers are. LOL

LOL. What a lucky guy! I wonder what his arsenal was. Maybe he should be taking us all fishing and teaching us the tools of the trade so we can get some of the biggies also!

I've been to Rapid City before and I wouldn't mind going back for a lesson. Beautiful country. We could all meet at the topless casino they have right off exit #60. Not that I've ever been there before. LOL

LOL. I bet you'd want to meet at the topless casino. My girlfriend wouldn't like that one bit though. [:/] But hey, if she never finds out...... hehe. Shame on me.
I have no clue where Rapid City is since I live in Minnesota and am still very ignorant of Minnesota's geography as it is... even here in the metro area. [

Oh well. Maybe one of these days we can plan a SD get-together for fishing!

That would be fun. If you've never been there before your really missing out. If fact within a few hours drive there in Mt rushmore and devils tower. See, theres a reason your girlfriend would go. We'll just have to figure out something about the topless casino. LOL

My girlfriend wouldn't come along except for the trip. She doesn't like fishing one bit. [crazy] girl.
So I'll just hafta go myself and hope she doesn't find out about the casino. Hehe.
