Well in a week my wife and I heading back to AK for another summer guiding for kings on the Kasilof River. i'll be up there atleast until labor day!

Any BFT Utah guys that are heading up to the Kenai peninsula or even anchorage this summer let me know and I'll try to get you up to date on hotspots and maybe we can make an evening run down the river or a kenai sockeye or 'bow trip! Give me a heads up, i'll have the internet but won't be on very often so leave time for me to respond if you want to meet up! I'll be living in a new area this year but guiding on the Kasilof again so i'm pretty excited!

Even though i'll be fishing the land of the giants I still tend to miss my home waters and hills, you guys better nail some huge wipers and tigers for me this summer!

How late do the kings run and when does the season end on the Kasilof? I'm planning a trip to Alaska about 7/26- 8/05 with my son and one of his cousins. Leaning toward the Kenai peninsula. Would like to get several days of King fishing then target sockeye. Would do mostly bank fishing on my own but would like a day or 2 of using a guide for the kings. Might end up elsewhere but any info would be appreciated.

The king season on the Kenai and Kasilof rivers ends on July 31. Generally speaking the last couple weeks of July is a really good time for big kings on the Kenai. We will still be catching a lot of good kings on the kasilof until the last day of the season as well. The reds should be in there thick as gnats when you are there, around that time they usually bump the limits up and you should have no problem limiting out every day. They are a blast, i love to fish for them and that's my wife's favorite thing to do ha!
