Went over to the river behind my home ( the ogden) fished for about a 1 hour or so the river is running fairly high and like chocolate milk. caught one fish typical ogden river brown. If you head that way I suggest big wolly buggers or streamers but expect some slow fishing.

I went out yesterday and yep muddy and nasty.first near the skate park then up the canyon. didn't even get a nibble. Still had fun though......

Im no expert but i last year every time i went fishing i would check what the cfs on the usgs site and eventually was able to pin point at lest in my opinion when the fishing is on the ogden is best. 40-60 or so seemed perfect. minus the spring mud of course. like later in the year when it's got more of a greenish tint.

Got sent home early for work today witch is not good at all....figured i might as well hit the river (ogden). it's come down and cleared up a bit. I started near the mouth of the canyon got a quick hit on a red copper john but i caught the tip of my pole in some branches got too much slack in my line and the fish was long gone. eventually i made my way up to The Oaks. fishing was still slow turned over a few rocks and saw what im pretty sure were sow bugs. lucky i had a couple in my case. ended up catching 2 using a BH prince with the sow bellow. like i said slow but just enough action to take my mind off of the daly grind.
