<br /> my neighbor joe and i had been trying to get together for awhile so i could show him how to dock shoot . <br /> despite the not so good wind forecast we headed out this morning getting on the water about 7am and headed downriver from grasshopper for some main <br /> lake docks. when we first got there it looked good with barely a breeze and a good number of fish showing up on the side imager. the fish however were <br /> not so co-operative until glockjr dipped the head of a bayou bugger BG shad in a little bit of red spike it and started putting a few nice keepers in the boat on a 8 count <br /> in about 14 fow with most being 12-13" . <br /> then he set the hook and the drag started singing a little and he hollered "GET THE NET" ... well it was indeed a net worthy 14-1/2 " 2lb slab <br /> and his second TARP emoDance ..and another HOF for him emoParty <br /><br /> <br /> joe and i did ok there to putting a few more keepers in the boat with very few shorts... nothing fast and furious but steady enough to keep us there for a little bit. <br /> glockjr though was in the zone more than we were though as he put most of the fish in the boat emoThumbsup <br /> <br /> it slowed down to nothing there and we headed up into sale creek were we did manage a few more keepers while i showed joe around ( he had never fished in sale creek) <br /> <br /> around 10am we decided to head up river to another dock i wanted to show him and when we came out of sale into the main river ..... holy emoEek . there was the wind the weather man said was coming. <br /> 2-3 footers with the wind blowing upstream and current flowing down. we headed up anyway and the beating was for nothing emoBang as there was 3 people fishing from the dock i wanted to fish at emoBang <br /> we headed back down to grasshopper ( the beating wasnt as bad going downstream) fished a few blowdowns in there for a few more shorts and 2 more keepers. put the boat on the trailer at 11:30 with 15 nice keepers for <br /> joe to put in his freezer (mine is full for the moment emoSmile ) and somewhere around 20-25 shorts . <br /> for the conditions and shorter than normal time on the water joe and i didnt do to bad but glockjr did GREAT emoBig <br /> <br /> unfortunately the pic on golden rule didnt turn out to well because of a bad glare but i do have a witness it was 14-1/2 ) <br /> oh our best 7 came in at 8lbs 10oz and all 15 came in at a little over 16lbs <br />
