Went to the weber again 4-30 but this time i took back up lol I wanted to say thanks to old troller for all his help he taught me a ton on how to rig, drift, read a strike and set the hook and what an amazing difference

Had a great day! After some training, I tried out the new techniques, braved a few blizzards and after a whole lot of constructive criticism from the troller. I landed seven whitefish and a nice 2 1/2 pound brown that went about 20"

Thanks Ken we will definitely have to do it again

Sounds like you have now got a good technique down. It is hard at first to see and then land a strike when drifting bugs off the bottom. Congrats

I was on the Weber this last Saturday as well. Tried above Rockport and then right above Croydon. It was not as good as last Saturday, but I still landed 10-15 rainbows/whites. The weather kept the fish from really heating up...

Thanks for the props.

I had a blast. The only thing as fun as fishing is teaching fishing to a student as focused as you were/are.

Congrats man. It's good to hear you got into 'em. I hit the Weber after a short day at work on Friday as well. Sounds like we had similar experiences...rain, snow, lots of whitefish. I never did find the trout though[frown].
