<br /> Started in an area that had been holding some good fish lately and ran into Antman and Landon. Pretty much got in their way at first (thank goodness we're friends, or were) but did manage a 4+ and a 15 "er right off the bat and that was it so I started working my up river. Got into a huge school of short fish and had some fun for while, just couldn't help the cause. Finally got into some bigger fish further up river, but struggled getting the darn things in the boat. Had a monster hang me up in a treetop and then broke me off. This fish would have had his own livewell as he might have eaten the others, but instead he is still trying to throw my jig out of his mouth. Had another 3+ go aerial right at the boat and spit the jig back at me. I'm feeling sick at this point and then to top it off, two guys with AGC were working the same area and boated a 4+ right next to me. We spoke and passed each other and then finally, I nailed a 4+ right in front of them. It was 1:30 at this point so I decided to make the run back to the ramp. Had 10.66# and got a payday!! <br /><br /> Had an enjoyable day on the lake and didn't even make my partner mad! All keepers came on a custom Dixie Jig Works 1/2oz jig. Caught fish on a spook, blade, H2O lipless crank and jig from real shallow to 15'.<br /> Congrats to all the money winners and to Ron and Danny for the win and Anthony and Landon for a nice bag and big fish.<br /> Thanks to all the committee members for another well run tx.
