I went up there last weekend and fished from shore. Fishing there was terrible. We moved to 4 different locations and never had a bite on 4 lines. Fished from early morning until about noon. In fact it was so bad we gave up and went looking for sheds instead. Tried Power bait and worms too.
Man I hate bait fishing!!!!
If you have the chace to troll I would deffinately try that!

trolling is killing right now according to my budyy. hes gone the lsat two weekends and have come back with some nice size one. trolling a worm harrnest and needlefish. from shore is garbage. went there last weekend and my buddy got a very nice size smallmouth and then nothing for 3 hours.

Roughed the snow and took the boat up there last weekend. Brought one decent trout (looked like a Tiger) to the boat just in time for it to spit my Rapala at me. Caught a few small rainbows and had some good smacks. Boyfriend was fishing with his trusty worm while I was chucking every type of lure or jig I had in my tackle bags. Would have loved to have gotten into some smallies but I think the snow scared them away. After a couple hours of cold and wet we headed back to the condo for biscuits and gravy. Cold, windy and snowing Sunday so we didn't try it before heading home but we will be back up there this weekend in hopes that the warmer weather will produce some good fishing. Good luck!

I'll be heading up there this weekend to. Planning to stay in the campground and hit the lake Saturday. Last year I had plenty of success trolling, but have never tried shore. Used Rapala's, wedding ring spinners, and crawler harnesses last year. Would like to maybe stumble on a few smallmouth this year. Good luck.

I'll be heading up Saturday. Been doing well so far this year. Been testing out some new colors of squids and dodgers and so far they haven't disappointed. Tis will be the last trip to EC for the year. Next weekend is thederby at the Gorge and the boat stays there until Oct.
