Because of some scheduling challenges I was not able to get on the water until 2:00 on Friday. Should have been there at daybreak but what are you going to do. Began the afternoon throwing lipless cranks and within three casts I had my first fish. We caught 14" fish all day. Nothing big but abundant.
Saturday morning more of the same at Sand Hollow but included fish on jigs, and plastics. The reaction bite was definitely on though. After lunch decided to head to Quail and only managed one all afternoon.
Saw fish shallow, very little to no beds, and very skiddish. Water temps still in the high 50's to low 60's so give it another week or so.
At Pelican on the 22nd.
