This came with the garmin 160 i bought used. It has a wire coming out of it and a 3 or 4 pin connector at the end. Any ideas what it is? Thanks

you can call me a dummy, but I think one goes to the transducer and the female plugin goes to a monitor. wich should also be the power sorce for the unit and transducer. [angelic]
if it dosnt look like it plugs in to your fish finder unit anywhere, it is probably an electronic brain for an inboard boat motor. wich means it probably is not part of the fish finder unit.

That is the transducer. The connector should plug directly to the rear of your fishfinder unit.[cool]
