Fishing Forum

Well, I headed out yesterday afternoon to Dominguez Canyon with parrotgate for a small hike and a little fishin'. The hike was nice but fishin slow. I was told that there might be some trout in Dominguez creek but nothin was showin. My question is what fish are in there for next time I go I wanna catch something.

Did see some fish at the bottom of the first set of falls up from the gunnison. Looked like they were spawning. Interesting color on them too. Bright pink/orange down the side.

Looks like a neat little creek. Thats a bummer the fish didnt bite.The fish in the pic. looks and sounds like a sucker.

The water was running a little high right now. I gotta wonder how the fishing would be in a month or so when the water slows. Althouhg it might be a while, the San Jaun mtns still have a lot of snow on them.
