Hey guys i am trying to plan a trip up on the salmon river on that section from vinegar to shorts creek that opens on the 19th of june .
Does that boundry basically start at the bridge in salmon and go to near ellis???? Just looking for some confirmation from some of you guys that know the area better.

That section starts just upstream from the confluence of the Little Salmon and the main Salmon in Riggins I believe. Vinegar Creek is several miles farther upstream. It's in the lower section of the Samon River whereas Salmon and Ellis are nearer the upper end.

vinegar creek is way down stream of salmon bud look at the map in the fishing regs. it explains boundries pretty good in it.

But... Salmon river from City of Salmon to town of Ellis (Pahsimeroi) opens June 12th.
Come on out and visit, bring your own nice weather though it still looks like steelhead season out there!

thanks guys, i actually meant the upper salmon ellis area. that one starts just up stream from the lemhi hole in salmon and goes up to ellis, correct???? I might just bomb up in the car if so for a day or two.
