Got out this morning with Watts to check out some areas for tomorrow's CFF Tournament. Started shallow where the fish absolutely abused my Sammy. Trouble was, none were keepers. We went to a couple of offshore areas where we found some good fish. Josh did most of the damage. Was going to make our final run when the engine just died. Tried and tried to start it with no luck. Didn't figure it out till I looked at the gas gauge. Yep. First time ever. Was able to troll to Island Cove to gas up. Took forever though. Wind became a problem with a couple of storms that blew through. Neither Josh nor I brought rain gear. Our best fish came out of 12-20 feet of water. All in all, a good day on the water. Thanks for the company Josh. We'll do it again.
