Just wanted to give a fishing report for the places listed above. I attempted to visit meadow lake (up in the mountains) but there is still too much snow covering the road and lake. The park ranger said it will not ice off until July 4th weekend.

Birch Creek was recently planted with a bunch of trout and they were certainly biting. Due to the large amount memorial day campers, a lot of the trout were being caught (all I saw was Juvenile Rainbows) and taken from the creek.

Mud Lake is mud lake. I don't think there are any fish in there anymore. Granted the weather was bad most of the day, but not even a bite.

Thanks for the report. I have never been to Meadow lake, but I have heard that it is beautiful. I love Birch Creek and plan on making a trip there soon. The brookies are found in the area where you cross the stiles over the fences. At least that is where I usually find them.

As for Mud Lake I heard rumors of long waits for big perch last winter, but never saw any myself.
