I live in Twin Falls and i love fishing. I usually only catch 12-18in trout around here and some bass. Dierkies, rock creek, and pillar mostly. I want to catch the big guys! Are there any good places around here to catch some big trout and bass? I know salmon dam is good and have been there once this year already.I wouldn't mind a little drive either, but i have a car so it cant be anything to extreme. And most likely i would be shore fishing.
Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Welcome,
Magic Reservoir has some nice trout and good shore fishing.
Lake Walcot has big fish but not sure about the shore fishing.
Oakley , Goose Creek, Reservoir has some decent trout.
Not sure about Milner Reservoir as to where to trout fish but does have cat fish and bass.
This is just a few palces and I am in Twin also.

I have also caught a number of nice fish at Oster Lakes and Riley Creek. They are smaller lakes that are easily fished from shore and are heavily stocked.

I agree with Idahopanfish about Magic Res. I grew up in Shoshone and Fished a ton in and around Magic. I had access to some great teachers Smokey Webb, Ray Clayton, my uncles Ralph, Ray and Chuck Mitchell. You could always stop into the Columbia Lounge in Shoshone and get the Old School fishing reports. Anyway Magic holds some really nice rainbows. Back in the day some of the biggest fish (20" plus) came from below the dam in what they called the Big Hole. Below the dam was always a great place to hunt big Browns in the fall after they shut the water off. The Richfield Cannel system was always another great place to hook into bigger fish. The Little Wood River north of Richfield can also have some big fish, if you fly fish the Bear Track Williams ( I think thats what it's called) section holds some nice fish as well.
