Hit the Knolls this am to try the motorized FishCat 4. I put 2 of those boat bumpers or what ever they are called on, and what a difference it made in how it sat in the water with motor installed. There was just a slight back tilt which leveled out soon as I sat down. What a ride. Started with the motor set on 3 and that was perfect. Went from shallow to deep in a hurry. That power button TD installed for me is wonderful. Just use your thumb to motor. Great.
Launched at 0640 and started catching fish right away. Red/chartuse road runner's and pink/chartuse road runners were the ticked today. Caught a ton of whitebass from the private property fence all the way past the point and back. There were a few kitties as well. Wonderful day. Bout 10 ish I had to pee, so I called it a day.

Very nice. What size of white bumpers did you have? I noticed yesterday that there were three different sizes.

[cool][#0000ff]That's a much better report than Bountiful.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Now you gotta learn more about "alternatives" for "downloads". Tubers should never be held captive by their bladders. Oui oui.[/#0000ff]

The bumpers are the mid size ones. They are 6in diameter
and 14 in long. They have made such a difference. There is no more drag than before, least ways I can't tell if there is. It kicks the same.[Wink]

Thanks, I am going to get one for my wifes FC4 tomorrow.

You said motor on 3? That is high isn't it. Battery can't last long on that can it. I am 98% of the time on one and even that is a little fast at times.

[cool][#0000ff]You are running a bigger motor. We both have the 30#...with 5 speeds. 3 is still fairly low. But when you crank it to 5 it will snap your head back. The motor uses very little power on 3.[/#0000ff]

I usually use the 34 on 3 to move around. I found that is the optimal speed at mirror lake it I want to drag a bugger across the lake. Battery will last quite a while on that speed.

I know I do now, but I was talking about my Pontoon and the 30. My new motor is 10, 20, 30 % instead of 1, 2, 3
And on my pontoon, 1 I was flying.
Interesting on the 3 using very little power.

I can get three days of maybe 5 hours run time on 1

I actually used the motor very little. Just to change locations
and yes, I did "play" a bit. Pat is right about 5 pushing you back a bit. I have the Werker 33 deep cycle and when I put it on the charger today it was still over 80% charged. I know that size battery is not anywhere near a full size battery, but used properly it will do what I need it to.[Smile]

I got my bumpers at Advance RV Supply on 35th South. They were 17.90 apiece, but well worth the price.

Great post, thanks for the pics. That last whitey looks very, very surprised!

[cool][#0000ff]Sportsmans has the bumpers in several sizes for as low as $11.99...for plain white.[/#0000ff]

Cabelas has them for 12.99.
