[cool]I went to Warm River for the very first time today. Wow, what a beautiful river! I couldn't believe how nice this area is. The forest is beautiful and the river is clear and full of fish. A buddy and me went up today and took out a bunch of beautiful browns and bows. We probably caught 20 fish in about an hour.

I'm sure you could use just about anything in this river to catch fish, but the lure we found especially potent was a medium (possibly large) sized spoon with orange and green on it, and black tiger looks markings in the orange part.

Beautiful area and a great trip. I would hope everyone gets a chance to fish it, especially right now!

Thanks for the info! Warm River was one of the places my family camped all growing up...it's truly a beautiful river that can rival any around[cool]! Did you hike up river very far or stay near the campground?

Thanks for the report. Warm river is always a good place to go when other places aren't producing. To come to think of it maybe we should have gone there today after being blown off of Ririe.

We stayed near the campground, but I may go back up next week and do a little hiking.

You can hike the main trail up to the old railroad tunnel...we used to do this...climb down to the water, and wade/fish all the way back to the campground[cool]-makes for an all day adventure but it's normally worth your time. Not as many fish up high-most planters stay close to campground but usually nobody else fishing the upper stretch[Wink]
