I was back, feeling good, finally heading to the lake in my boat. Well I stopped for gas a,d just happen to feel the hubs on the trailer. One was a little warm, the other burnt me when I touched it. Went to the nearest parking lot and removed the grease cap, nothing inside there. Axle to hub. Left Mendy with the boat and went and got some bearing and a jack. Fixed that problem so off we go. Drop Mendy on the water with the boat and go park and wash my hand of grease. When I get to the ramp there is a guy paddling my boat to the dock with Mendy sitting down. Thankfully it was another CFFer willing to help Mendy, but when he got on the boat to troll to the dock the trolling motor would not run. Mendy said the boat would start, but would not stay running. I forgot the name of the CFFer who helped us, I was about flustered at this point in time. Well we get the boat running and off we go. First stop, I start working on the trolling motor. By the time I get it fixed we have gotten blown way past where I wanted to fish, so after trolling for a while and not getting anywhere I decided to crank the big motor to move back into location. Well that is when we realized the big motor was done cranking. Then the starter went out completely while trying to start the big motor. So then we trolled for about the next 2 hours to get back to the Chick marina ramp. The bearing did hold up for the ride home, and it did not storm on us, do I guess some things did go our way. No fish. I think I has about 6 cast, 3 backlashes and 3 good cast. What a day. I think I am done fishing from this piece of a boat. Sad day.<br /><br />TW
