spent the day at Rockport with the fam. no fishing took place, but i did have the boat in the water just with my small electric motor to test it out. electric ran well and the fish finder was marking fish all over the place, anywhere from 6 feet deep to 30 feet down. some big ones too. we used the day use area "highland" just north of the boat ramp and i took the kids out to the wakeless buoys northward toward the dam and marked most fish over 35 feet of water. temps were in the high 60's so the finder said. "W" was not too bad, and weather was good, if you are looking to get into some perch or trout it looked pretty decent. the perch seemed to be concentrated around those buoy's a lot we would get near one of them and the sonar screen lit up with all kinds of little blips, more of the bigger blips were as we cruised between the markers and seemed to be moving, i would say trout.
