It depends on what type of fish you will be fishing for . But here are a few things you need. An Ice auger, scoop to clean the hole, good warm clothes, tackle depends on what your are fishing for, a sled to put your stuff in and a fish finder. There is a lot more things but these are just a few.

till you get what you want, its always a good idea to go with some one who already goes, chances are he will have extra rigs,
you can get away with a spool of 3 pound line, number 8 wire hook, split shot, a small bobber and a waxworm and most every one on the ice will welcome you and may even offer you a hole to fish out of...
