couldn't decide whether to lay on the couch all day or head to Jordanelle for a one man tournament. i choose the later. i wanted a limit of bass and i was going to throw everything at 'em to get it even if it killed me. glad i choose to GO FISH!!! caught a half a dozen dinks under 13" and a PIG that measures 18.5 inches. Perchinski, I have you in my sights. water temp was 55 and i was throwing plastic all day in about 3' to 5' of water. My first tournament win, unfortunately the payout was lousy, a peanut butter sandwich and a bottle of water. [Wink]

Happy Fishin'
Nice report and pictures R-N-G, looks like you made a good move by going fishing. I would almost bet there will be a new catch and release record come from the Nell this year[Wink].

I would agree that sometime real soon the record comes out of there. It's too bad for Perchinski that the record is limited to catch and release. He would have had the weight record last year with his Brutis.

Thanks for the report RNG. That was a nice bass!! I love the Nelle and will get up there soon. What types of plastics were you throwing? I have caught most of my fish up there on worms and rapalas, of course with the temps in the fifties I doubt that they would hit a crankbait. Thanks again for the report!!!
Nice catch, Dane. Better than what I did today (Mon). Got only one. However, I did something today that might top your incident when we met on the ramp two wks ago. Later on that one. Anway, s-l-o-w today for me & the guys I talked to. 52 deg at 9:30 launch, tho improved to 54 by 2pm take-off.
Brown water. Must have been an upstream Starbucks pipe that broke. What do you think about returning to scene of crime tomorrow (Wed) afternoon/evening?

3" curly tail jigs. dark in color. caught a few on my favorite color which is white. very slow retrieve. Perchinski said it best, coffee colored water.

Perchman give me a call I am in for tomorrow afternoon.

Good Luck

Thanks! I plan on going friday and I will let you all know how I did. Hopefully the water will be more clear by then. Is it muddy over by the Provo inlet only or is it lake wide? Thanks for the info.
lake wide. if you have a boat see if you can find some brush, grass or bushes against the bank. i found these areas to be a bit clearer for some reason. let me know how you do.

I was out there today for three hours. Water temps near the river were 57 but quickly dropped past the launch ramp. I managed 5 smallies and one brown all in Rock Cliff. The trees seemed to be the ticket for cold muddy water.

Where is Rock Cliff?

Nice fish, fsh4fun05.
Looks like some eyes were crossed yesterday by your photo attached.

There are basically two parts of Jordanelle, the Rock Cliff arm and...the other part? lol, Main lake? I don't know, The rock Cliff arm is the stretch of reservoir where the Provo river inlet is.

3 parts? North end. Middle/main lake(pwc ramp, swim beach, reef...) . And, the Provo river/Rock Cliff arm. All can fish differently depending on the time of year. There are flats in all the areas, but some areas have ledges and rock.

Jon, didya fish the north end?

I threw cranks for about a half hour on the North end on the points but nada, headed home.
