Well it was hot for small mouths Couldn't find a walleye or a perch.

On the water @ 630 nailed a 14'' and 15" right off the back. Slight drizzle and a little chill put the rain gear on right off the bat saw to much rain on the ride to the Res. just knew it was coming.

Made many stops picking up one or two fish at each stop. Until we got to the east side inlet bay. That's when the fishing got hot and the weather got cold light wind and rain snow? and hell. It was crazy, it dumped for two hrs. and the fish just kept biting till the weather slowed.

Moved lots of times but only ones and twos again. The sun came out warm up some dried out some and the fishing slowed with the warmth. Went on a search and recover for more fish would pick one here and there but nothing like the in crazy weather in morning.

Glad I braved the rain and weather had a great day on the water can't wait to go back. Can't believe we didn't boat a walleye but did catch well over 30 SM 2 just under 18 for the largest fish and your normal dinks here's a few pics.

Nice report and pictures, good looking smallies. Good to see someone catch some decent smallies from that lake but too bad the eyes or perch did not want to play.

You are killing me. I almost went to Starvation saturday. We had a club fish event set up for saturday at Starvation, but the club figured with the weather the smallies would be shut down. Went to Pelican instead. Had a gut full of 10" cookie cutter Largies. I would have given up all them for one of your 18" smalllies.

Starvation is my favorite lake for small mouths. Close and under appreciated. There are some pretty decent fish in there.

Thanks it was kind of miserable because it rained for so long nonstop lots of dinks but many 14" plus also.
But I was after a few walleye to make my day [frown][cool]

I love Starvation too its in my fab 5 #3 but its not close for me 2hrs away. I was just bound and determined to go I didn't care how bad it was. I duck hunt in worse [laugh] yeah it was crazy but fun. I wish it was closer, I want to make it back at least twice this year I hope.
