It was running high and fast all week. We just had another long hard rain shower this evening. I saw some guys unfolding a big net and threading their rods at Ellis on Thursday, they didn't look excited about fishing.

Sure is quiet so far. I am hoping something changes soon. The itch is getting bad. Only 2 weeks before I am planning on heading up there to try my luck.

Was up in the area yesterday for work. The water is high, and a watered down kind of muddy. It looked fishable in the right areas.

Haven't hear much either. I did hear from a few of the old timers up in Salmon that, when there is a season, they typically dont catch fish in any sort of numbers until the 1st of July. Not sure if this is true, though if it is true, I would expect them to be atleast a week or two behind schedule due to the cold weather, rain, and high muddy water. I was going to go up with my cousins at the end of this week, but we postponed the trip for a few more weeks or atleast until we get some better reports. Hope they get here soon!!

I seem to remember last year everyone was keyed up to go but no one really caught anything until after july 4th. I'm not expecting much for a couple more weeks.

I fished on 4th of July last year and nobody was really catching. I did hook one off the island park in Salmon but the river was still running high (5000 CFS) and cloudy and it was tough fishing. I went back on the 9th of July and the river was down to 2000 CFS, clear and the fishing was hot from then to the close of the season....

Today the river has a bit of a green tinge to it, like it is starting to clear up. Still running high, but it may be dropping a bit.
