<br /> I woke up early this morning and before I finished my first cup of coffee I started to get the fishing itch. A little after 6 I called FA and he begged off, claiming 2 games behind the plate last evening did him in. I was too early to call Neighbor Hal so I went by myself, something I hardly ever do. I launched just above the Dam and stayed in that general area. I was experimenting with a new lure and method and only caught 1 small spot at the very end of the lock wall but at least I avoided the skunk! I got off the water about 10 o&#39;clock just as the water chiggers were coming out. I managed to make it home before the heavens opened up. I went up to Academy to get a few things to refine my new lure and got to visit with Ditch Doc for a few minutes. I&#39;m glad Riverbend is over tonight. I need to get back down on the river!!!<br />
