my cousin and I are planning on taking out younguns fishing tomorrow morning for a few hours and are wondering if anyone has some good advice on where we could get them into some fast action for panfish? the oldest will be around 5 and the youngest around 3. We were thinking of lindon boat harbor but I haven't heard any fast reports from there. White bass would be a blast for the kids as well as bluegill and crappie, but as many of you who have kids know attention spans can be short with the really young kids so faster action would help a lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance for any information you are willing to share. Also we will be teaching them fisherman ettiquette so that should not be a problem,

p.s. we are both in utah valley.

i always go to the cove pond in herriman, fishing is way fast for bluegill (although not very big), i also love to fish for the catfish, some of them can be surprisingly large!this might be a drive for you but its worth it! good luck, hope this helps! pm me if u want more info.

any of the harbors at utah lake would be good or try the jordan river outlet by the pumphouse. and if the kids get bored there's a little playground there

I forgot to mention if there is good perch fishing anywhere close by the kids (and I) would love to get into them. I just haven't heard any perch reports from any waters close by,

we ended up fishing the reeds north of lindon boat harbor and AF boat harbor. the fishing was great the catching was almost nonexistent. we did manage 2 kitties around 17 and 26 inches or so but the panfish did not want to play today at all. the carp were spawning all over the place which may have driven the little panfish away but I am not sure. we even tried the little creek coming in by AF harbor to no avail. Oh well it was still a nice day anyway, It would have been nice to get the little ones into some fish but oh well at least the weather was nice,
