A friend and I decided to fish Jordanelle this morning. Neither of us had really fished it before so we really didn't know what to expect. We were hoping for some nice smallmouth and maybe some decent browns. The morning weather was beautiful and the day got pretty hot. We were on the water around 7 am and the water temp was around 59-60*. We got into several smallmouth on tube jigs and crankbaits. Nothing really to write home about. Then our luck changed and my buddy hooked into a very nice smallie. Immediately after that I hooked into this nice rainbow. These two fish pretty much made our trip.

Did you guys make it up into the Rock Cliff arm? I'm waiting for the runoff to quit and the debris to clear out. No fun dodging logs in a pontoon.

Yes. The debris has been moved out into the main channel. There were still a few bigger logs but mostly small stuff. Nothing too dangerous.

Thanks. That's good news.

Great smallie!!! Made it up there today 06/26 around 8 am, a little late for me but had a great day. Left the water around noon as the lake filled with the weekend boaters. Caught approx. 15 which is a great deal more than any other day this year. 4 over 15" and and the rest were dinks. Water temp was 62 to 63 degrees. Spent some time at the north end and then went to the east side of the dam. Crankbaits, plastic jigs and worms. Looks like the next few weeks some eyes are gunna' be crossed boys and girls!!!

15? Without me? Now I get it: you were fishing my water. Good for you. Hope to hit it a few times this week.
