Anyone have experience with a dog (labrodor size) on a pontoon? I would like to get a pontoon, but must have the dog with me. She is a service dog that detects seizures (about 15 minutes before they happen).

I know what your thinking! This is the making of a sure winner for "Home Funniest Video's." As the guy goes spazing his way around in circles pitchin a fit.

These are blood surgar type. So more of a trance.

Anyway, the dog is pretty flexible. She rides all kinds of stuff now without problems. (Quads, Boats, kayaks, etc).

Should I think about her on the rear rack that holds cargo, or maybe consider a pontoon with standing platform?

Any experience?

My brother takes his dog (shepherd mix) out on his Scadden Cardiac Canyon with no problem. He just has some plywood on the rear deck and the dog just sits there.
I think on most boats you can adapt the rear deck or even enlarge it to accommodate your dog. I'd say you'd want at a minumim 9' length, with a 10 being even better. What do you want to spend?

Look at the Skykomish or Madison models here

I think it is either the outcast web page or The creek company that has pictures of dogs riding pontooons. Ron
