Got an early start at Riverpark this morning. Put in at about 5:30 and ran up to the dam. Running 2 generators so figured the fish would get going about daylight. Started fairly slowly, only catching 2 decent LM Bass in the first 1/2 hour. Then saw some baitfish drifting through and game on at same area of my previous trip. I was using Power minnows and flukes on 1/8 and 1/4 oz jigs. I didn't get as many fish today as previous trip but the size was much better. Largest right at 3.75 and 2 others at 3.5#. Caught no small fish at all.

Have to excuse the pictures, I was in a hurry to get back to the feeding fish, so they are not too artistic. The fish would go crazy for a couple of minutes and then nothing for 5-10 minutes, then another school of bait comes by and they slash away again. I was usually only getting 1 fish from each rise as they were bigger and it took me awhile to get them in with lite rods and line, and strong current. Anyway, lots of fun and I was the only boat there for about an hour and a half. Pretty much shut down by about 9:30 so I moved downriver to try some dropshotting and jigging spoons. I caught 2 med. spots around a bridge piling on the dropshot and lost a good fish there. Also caught 2 on jigging spoon, and lost a couple. I changed the treble hook and didn't miss any more. Back to the house by lunch time.

Ended the day with 15 Bass, 4 were spots and the rest LM. I didn't catch a single SM. emoScratch

Regards, Labman
