Went out for a little while this afternoon to see what was happening on the river. Decided to go down to the bend. Fished rip rap and laydowns using a 3/4 ounce jig and craw trailer. Caught nine bass. Some pretty healthy in the 2+++ range. Missed a few. Still perfecting the jig fishing. A lot of wind today not much current. Hard to hold the boat and pitch where I want to pitch with the wind on and off. Went back to the ramp and started to load the boat on the trailer. Was about 6 inches short so I decided to winch it up since the motor would push it. Took off my shoes so my shoes would not get wet and jumped in the water so I could winch it up. Well the ramp had a nice coat of grass and slime on it and I did not realize it until it was too late. I couldnt grab hold of anything and it was like slow motion - me sliding into the water and some guys next to me launching their boat just watching helplessly as I slipped deeper and deeper and then up to my neck before I could grab something. emoBang emoBang emoBang I really did not mind the dunk - hahaha- it was cooling me off but my cell phone with all my fishing pictures and my wallet got wet. emoBang So tht is why no pictures. My shoes stayed dry. HA! Didnt notice until I pulled the boat out my big toe is missing some flesh. Must have hit a rock or something. Washed it good and poured alcohol on the wound. Ouch. My advice on the Riverpark ramp - just get your shoes wet!
