Fished the Little river at Riggins on Thursday. It was pretty slow. I hooked up on 4, landed 0. Saw about 8 fish caught amongst ~20 guys. Very disappointing trip. Left late Thurday, about 8ish, headed for the SF. On the way, my son said he'd rather go to Cascade, so that's what we did.

I gotta think that run is just about over.

i would agree with your son. i lived in alaska for a few years the heart of ( combat ) fishing. really left a sour taste in my mouth . but it's nothing near as bad as here !! people are ignorant here. this spring i caught a stellie at the park hole and went to land my fish when i tagged and secured my fish i went back to the rock i was standing on and a guy was standing on my rock. i had tackle and my extra rod laying on the rock he was standing on.i asked him to please remove himself from the rock as i had my tackle ect. on the rock. he told me to .well you can guess..and said i don't own the river. i agreed with him but said i do own my tackle and rod that he was standing on. at which time he asked me to " pack um then ". a mellee ensued in which i was fortunate to have been the victor of . the person said he was a local ( riggins ) and told me he and his cousins have special plans for boise boys.. he must have read my plates. i fished for a bit but became worried about the after effects from the fraccus.

next weekend fishing the north fork of the clearwater i must have met one of his cousins. there were several of us fishing a hole. we were taking turns casting people caught a few fish.everything was swell until this fool came down started casting over people breaking them off. threatening to shoot people it was sickining.....

wow bovis you sound like you are mean ! you should have just let that man fish on your rock. violence is never the answer. perhaps you could have offered him a small token 20 $ or so for your rock back.

maybe i will stick with bluegill no one yelled at me except for my boyfriend when i got hung up in a bush. this is why we are always in wars. everyone cant let others just have there way

Seriously evelynn!? Wow. Only people that dont know how to fish will steal other people's spots. Every fish has to come through every hole on that river, no need to be standing on a spot that someone else has already laid claim to and left his stuff on, shouldn't have to pay the loser either to have his spot back. I probably would have done the same thing he did. I really dont mind the crowds too much and, for the most part, people are pretty cool and easy to get along with as long as your aren't fishing right on top of eachother. That guy is a loser, plain and simple.

A small token of $20? Huh? Ya right, tell him he owes you $20 for taking your spot. The best thing to do is fish right next to him. And when he gets tangled in your line, you reel in before him and you get a free lure!

Seriously though, "dirty fisherman" have no place fishing.
