Anyone have a report from the SF for this last weekend?

It's been awhile since I've posted anything But I was on the river Thursday night through Sunday morning. Fished up towards the washout. Hooked into one about 8:00am Friday morning. I was fishing with my 6 year old and I wasn't expecting anything from all the information I gathered from other anglers and here on the board. Needless to say the net was still collasped down when the fish hit. I yelled for Canyon to get the net and he even extended it out and tried to net the fish the first time I had it to the bank but it wasn't done yet and took off like it was shot out of a shotgun. I also saw it was a hatchery and I knew I could keep it if I could land it. The second time I had it to the bank I tried to net it but the net spun on it's handle. Canyon had extended it but didn't know how to lock it in place so the fish took off again. The third time I was able to net the fish with the handle not locked down. The fish is the first salmon I've caught out of a river and I have tried before without success so it was pretty exciting for both of us. It was 33 inchs long and I'm guessing around 12 to 15 pounds. I guess the fish had my name on it after that comedy of errors. After 40 minutes of cleaning and taking pictures I went to fishing again and hooked another. This thing fought harder than the first one and after a few minutes it threw the hook.
I never got another hit the rest of the time I was there but I learned that a pod had moved threw and I was just lucky to be in the right spot at the right time. Sat. very few fish were caught and the fisherman that I talked to said very few moved up. Everybody reported including F.G. that we were still a week out. River is very fishable and clear. I know of 5 fish that were caught during the time I was there.

I believe I would really like to trade you net man for mine. Mine is my brother in law who is about 42 and can get the net fast and extend the net and get it locked in place, he however just like to stab at their head numerous times and when the fish spashed with his tail my brother in law would turn his head and look away. Saturday he knocked off two in the morning. He did somewhat redeme himself today netted 4 fish of mine and then knocked off two and 4 threw the hook. Brought two home and one was a native jack and one big native.

2 + 1 + 1 = 4. I'm sure he didn't keep any natives.

Hmmm, to me it seems like he is saying he brought 2 fish home and the other two were a native jack and native adult. After reading it again I guess he could be saying he brought 2 natives home, but thats not how I read it.
Maybe he is an indian. If not and he did indeed reduce to possesion 2 natives and admit it on the internet then he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Sorry Just got back on here and saw that I did not clarify very well I was tired. I kept 2 fish both hatchery fish and caught two others that were native fish and released those. Sorry for the bad typing and sentance structure. I will be more carefull on how I type. But I still did hook 10 overall.

Your welcome. You've posted enough on here to show you know what you are doing. As for sentence structure and wording, we all have problems with that some times.
As for me, sometimes my mind just moves faster than my fingers.

Planning on heading up Thursday morning and staying through Monday. Looks like the fishing is picking up.[

I might be up thursday also, not sure about staying through the weekend could be a real zoo. Last weekend was not real terrible not like last 4th of july.
