over the past few days i have hit up oneida, condie, and twin. no pics right this second, let me get home and post them heres how we did:

at oneide i caught what seems like 100 smallies, no size at all to them. the carp were all on the surface all over the place and sure were fun on a fly rod. no pics of anything there.

at twin we caught a few bass, biggest went maybe 2 #'s, but it was windy and slow.

condie was fun, we caught 3 bass total, biggest went just over 2 #'s, no pics but.... we caught 4 fat blue gills, and 2 ginormous perch (some of the biggest i have seen in ID). the perch came from dead drifting a worm, the blue gill came from jigs. i took pics of these and will post them once im home.

enjoy!

edit, at onedia i caught smallies, not condie

Twin really slowed way down. I had similar luck this week, though two weeks ago it was fast action with hardly any under 12" and some 3-5 pounders thrown in. It doesn't help that the water level dropped several feet and places that were full of bass two weeks ago are now dry land. I hope that didn't leave a lot of nests high and dry.

Condie I never do well at once the fish leave the shallows, and I always bring some ultra light rods to enjoy the little smallies at Oneida. I'll take lots of little smallmouth over a couple of decent largemouth any day.

i will to! i love smallies! i was just happy about the size of the perch in condie, i hope these pics do the story justice.

Those are some nice perch and bluegills. About how deep were they hanging?

Those are some nice sized fish. I saw a bunch of those big gills a few weeks ago up in about 1 foot of water guarding nests. Unfortunately I'd only brought bass gear that day. Last spring I caught a nice perch from Condie on a Slug-Go, but that's the only one I've seen. Good to know there are more in there. Sounds like I need to head to Oneida again soon. I love fly fishing for carp almost as much as catching smallmouth.

the perch were every where. those two were caught dragging a worm about 50 yards behinde the boat on the bottom. the blue gill along with the few bass we caught were all in the brush along the bank

I'm excited to see the pics. Did you flyfish for the smallies?
