The wife and I decided to see if the cats were still hungry...they are. Wierd day though. caught a lot on standard white bass, but the worms were hot today. and the standard right up next to the weed line wasn't working as well as being about 2-4 feet out away from the weed line.
We adjusted and caught fish, but they just acted weird. lots and lots of "bendo's" only to to find nothing on when you set the hook. Had several hits that lifted the butt of the pole off the floor of the boat, thought it was headed in the water, but no fish. we downsized our piece of white bass and hooked more fish.
Forgot the camera in the truck, but everyone on here has seen my catfish posts/pics before. just close your eyes and imagine... [:p]
Boated around 20. 3-4 too big to keep. 2 actually too small to keep. brought home a doz for a future fish fry..
Any plans for floatilla and fish fry TD? Since i don't need waders this time of year, I would be happy to launch a tube.

Great post man!!! I hope to be out there on Sat. It great to hear how you adapted to the fish. Glad you got into some!! We have had some weird fish moments on UL as well. I have found that those little mud cats will take baits and run and then you can't se the hook as they are only on the tip of the bait. That may have been then messing with ya.
Happy fishing,
Shawn M
PS....A TD event would be awesome!!! I can taste the fish now!!![

[cool][#0000ff]No definite plans. But sometime during the last week of July would probably be good...weather and fishingwise. I will leave it up to you to coordinate your schedule with a good potential date. Best during the week when possible.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I might suggest Lincoln Beach again. We have had a couple there and it works well because there are decent restrooms, free access, fish cleaning station, running water, etc. Launching for the boat crowd and plenty of good cattin' within a reasonable distance from launching. Also...and not the least consideration...is the covered tables area for setting up the food and social part of it. We have to pay money to reserve it but that is usually not a problem during the week.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Figure out a date, bribe the weatherman and post it up. TubeBabe and I will show to help with fish filleting and cooking. KITTIE KRISPIES. Others can volunteer breads, salads, deserts, drinks, etc.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]PS...you and the Mrs. can fish from your pride and joy if you want. No restrictions. We have had boaters in the bunch before and we all survived.[/#0000ff]

I would show up for a kitty event. My only days are Monday, Tuesday and Wed. If any of those days work, I'm there!

hi, I am smallfry_cattin, my dad and I go out with wannabefisher to utah lake a lot. wannabefisher put up a post, its called utah lake july 3rd. anyway, last saturday, we went out on the boat, but the waves were to big to even get out of the harbor, so we went back home, dropped of the boat and met up to go shore fishing. we were using white bass, carp, and a worm. caught a few on the white bass, nothing on the carp, and just about everything on the worm. with the worm we caught bluegill, white bass, mudcats, carp, and a lot of catfish. that is the first time that we have caught the most kitties on worms. really odd for the usual.
can I come to the kitty catch and kitty fry event?
