Harbor Tackle, West Ocean City, Md. Fishing Report for July 13, 2010

Fishermen are catching sharks, kingfish, and spot in the surf. Rumor has it there are some cobia swimming around. In the bay plenty of undersized flounder and blues. The Rt. 50 Bridge and Inlet are producing some stripers and blues at night and flounder during the day. Some triggerfish have shown in the Inlet.

Congratulations to: Amanda Schmidt of West Ocean City with her 24 ¾ inch flounder caught in the East Channel.

Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live bloodworms, live sand fleas, and live eels, big live minnows, and live peelers.

Harbor Tackle, West Ocean City, Md. Fishing Report for July 27, 2010

Stripers are being taken from the Rt. 50 Bridge and the Inlet. Lots of flounder are being caught; however, most are not many keepers. Minnows, squid, shiner combinations and combo-ed with Berkley Gulp are used for bait. A few schools of spot and croakers have started to show. Big sharks are in the surf along with rays, blues, kingfish, spot, and croakers.

Congratulations to: Zachary Crim with his 22 inch flounder that he caught behind Assateague on minnow and squid. Chase Eberle and Matt Sharkey used a spear gun at the South Jetty getting 2 - 16 inch, a 15 inch, and an 18 inch tog. Jack Derfler hooked up a 20 ½ inch flounder at Stinky Beach with fresh bunker on a jig.
