Hit the water at 6:00 pm for a quick trip to test a trolling motor i want to buy. Motor worked great, fishing not so great. in one hour I had 3 hits on pop gear with a triple teaser and worm. For some reason they would not hook up. My son in law had one hit as well on the same set up. Lots of boats and PWC all over the lake. Met up with some friends for the last hour and anchored in 30' of water and cast jigs and baitfished with power bait. Again a few bites each but no hook-ups. my friends caught one trout about 13". They were there all day, he could'nt get his trolling motor working, so they bait fished starting at 11:00 and caught 10 trout between 4 of them in two hours. Left the water at 8:15 PWC's still ruling the water.

Too bad the catching wasn't good for you but at least your friend did good. It sure seems to me to be a tough lake to fish in the summer. So, was the 13 incher the largest fish caught by your friend?

No, I think he said the biggest went 16". the rest were 12" -14". What surprised me the most was they did'nt start biting good until about 10:30-11:00 am.
