Took Tayler and Kasey ( grandsons) to the knolls today for
some tubing and tooning. We had a pretty good day. Launched around 0700 to 71 degree soft calm water. Tayler chased the skunk away not long after the launch. Hooked a 17 in kitty in 3 ft. of water on a crawler. I was next with a 18
in. kitty on a crawler 4ft of water. All fish were caught in 3 to 5 feet of water. Kasey managed 2 mud cats. I tried to get him to hold his mouth right, but he just couldn,t get it done.
Bless his little heart. Funny how he can fish right next to you,
same bait, depth and everything and come up with different results. Least he was not skunked and he enjoyed his first pontoon ride. I managed one white bass. The catch was fairly steady. We kept a few for supper
and let some go. Was a wonderful day and we had a ball.
Left around 1400. I was happy there was no wind. Water temp was 78 degrees when we left.
