Does anyone know if the smallies are still in the shallower water and shorelines? Any advise on how to get some trout in mid summer would be great as well.

Slayer & I were up there last sat night & we caught all smallies & walleyes shallow. We ended with 2 walleye.
about 10 smallies some really really small. fished from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm. As far as trout just throw something out there, they will bite anything. slayer caught both walleye, sucks for me.

I was up there tonight fishing from the shore. Got into a few walleye. Seemed like they were deffinately there, but it was the typical every 50+ casts you got a bite. What was your guys experience up there with the eyes. I hit em' on twisters tipped w/ worms. Would be great to get into em' night fishing up there! Love going up there at night and catch'n em but I'm really want to replicate/try new techniques and REALLY get in to them!
