I have always fished Willard for cat fish. I have always just gone strait to the spot that wanted to fish. I then figured I was passing up fish on my way. I was thinking what I could troll. I have no down riggers but I figured I could slowly troll a plastic like a curly tail jig. Has any had luck with just trolling jigs or worms at Willard?

Alot of luck. I catch probly 3 or 4 catfish to every one walleye on my bottom bouncers. I was out jigging the other day and caught a bunch of cats pitching jigs. Earlier this year I was catching them 2-3 ft under the surface on cranks. So I actually think you could catch more trolling than sitting still, unless you run on to a whole pod of them.
