CAST for KIDS is an organization that takes special needs kids fishing once a year.
This year we are going to Rockport and it is this Saturday.
I have done it for 3 years now and this will be my 4th year. It is a very rewarding experience and a great way to promote our sport and put a on a kids face.The following is an excerpt from an Email I received this week. If you can help out. please call Valerie at the number below.
This is a humble plea for additional boating help.

As of today, we have 35 registered participant groups, 3 of whom are too young to go out in the boats and will be fishing from shore. So we have need of boat space for 32 groups.

According to the information we have, we only have enough boat space for 24 of those groups and the event is this[/u] Saturday.

I have to work this saturday, should be getting off by 2 in the afternoon. I could probably make it up there by 5 pm. How late willl they be fishing.

I think you posted something similar to this awhile back, I would have loved to have helped but allready have plans. You need to post events like this earlier so people that want to help can plan for it, a short notice sucks. Hope everything works out for you.

Don't hold me to this as exact, but as up to date as I know.

WET1 contacted me and told me of the plea.
I talked with Pat(?) this morning. they had 3 groups left and I volunteered for 2 of the groups on my toon.

So, I would deduct they still needed to find a spot for 1 more group. That was as of 11:00 ish this morning.

You are right, short notice sucks. I did not post this earlier. It was a last minute plea that I posted for the person in charge to try to help. The event is held every year about the same time. Maybe next year.

They will be fishing from about 8:00 until 12:00.
